《 Roy Patterson’s Jacob’s Cattle 》

For his final Sappho Live performance before returning to Canada, guitarist and composer Roy Patterson will present an evening of original Americana/Jazz with his Taiwanese version Jacob’s Cattle.
The compositions are inspired by the music that Roy heard daily on the radio while growing
up in Nova Scotia on the east coast of Canada. The music is defined by evocative melodies and
atmospheric harmony with folk, country, and blues influences, filtered through a jazz sensibility.

在返回加拿大之前於 Sappho Live 的最後一場演出中，吉他手兼作曲家 Roy Patterson 將與他的台灣版本樂團 Jacob’s Cattle，帶來一個充滿原創 Americana／Jazz 的夜晚。
這些作品的靈感來自 Roy 在加拿大東岸新斯科細亞省成長期間，日常從收音機中聽到的音樂。其音樂風格以富有畫面感的旋律與氛圍感和聲為特色，融合民謠、鄉村與藍調元素，並透過爵士語彙加以詮釋——「彷彿中世紀鄉村與都市黑色電影的交會」。
