《Sappho Reggae Night》
The sub genres of Reggae music are numerous, from rock steady and ska to lovers rock, its origins can be traced from Jamaica to London and Ethiopia, yet all with common theme of being rooted in an almost primordial type of dance music.
Sappho Reggae Night is a collaborative venture by some of Taiwan’s most seasoned reggae musicians, playing old favourite dance tunes as well as some more recent adaptations of certain hits which lend themselves to a reggae vibe, with some occasional ‘danceable dub’ thrown in. Enjoy the syncopated grooves of the rhythm section providing a platform of infectious and danceable music to “Lively up Yourself”. Rastafari!

雷鬼音樂的子流派很多，從搖滾穩定(rock steady) 和斯卡到情侶搖滾，它的起源可以追溯到牙買加到倫敦和衣索比亞。Sappho 雷鬼之夜是由台灣一些最資深的雷鬼音樂家合作舉辦的活動，演奏舊的熱門舞曲，以及某些更近期的改編版本，這些版本都能展現雷鬼的氛圍，偶爾還會加入一些‘可跳舞的Dub’元素。享受節奏部分所提供的同步重拍，伴隨著傳染性和可跳舞的音樂，一起‘振作起來’。Rastafari!
