From Choro\, shaped in part by European influences\, to Samba\, deeply rooted in Afro-Brazilian culture\, and the wide-ranging sounds of MPB (Música Popular Brasileira)\, Brazilian music reflects a vibrant blend of cultures and traditions. Beginning in the 1950s\, the growing influence of North American jazz also helped give rise to the irresistible sophistication and sensuality of Bossa Nova.\nOver the years\, the Brazilian Music Project has appeared at a variety of major events\, including the Taichung Jazz Festival\, the Kaohsiung Music Center New Year Concert\, and the Spring Wave Music and Art Festival.
