Led by Canadian guitarist Andy Ferris\, the quartet features American pianist Damian Garcia\, along the all Taiwanese rhythm section of Yu Jia Liu (bass) and Jeffery Lin (drums).\n▪︎Damian Garcia (Piano)Originally from Austin\, TX\, and recently relocated to Taipei\, Taiwan\, pianist Damian A. Garcia is quickly making a name for himself in the Taipei jazz scene. A pianist since the age of five\, he later attended the Stanford University Jazz Residency\, the University of North Texas Jazz Workshop\, the prestigious Berklee College of Music in Boston\, and was awarded the Piano Achievement Award by the Texas State University School of Music. Damian graduated from the world-renowned University of North Texas jazz studies program where he studied piano with Stefan Karlsson\, Michael Palma\, and Dan Hearle. Since graduating he has been an active performer\, and is credited on dozens of studio recordings. He has performed alongside many great musicians including Paquito d’Rivera\, Claudio Roditi\, Wayne Bergeron\, Frank Wess\, Butch Miles\, Bob Mintzer\, John Fedchock\, Taylor Eigsti\, Jamey Aebersold\, Andre Hayward\, Tom Brechtlein\, among many others others. Most recently\, his music has taken him to Japan\, having performed several times among some of the best musicians in Tokyo.\n\n▪︎Yu Jia Liu (Bass)Double bassist and composer Yu Jia Liu studied at National Tainan University of the Arts and the Department of Music at National Dong Hwa University. He was an award-winning student in both institutions and also began working as an instructor in 2015. In 2016\, he was awarded first prize in the Taipei Jazz Rookie Competition. That same year\, he participated in the multi-media cross-border musical “Love” at the National Concert Hall. In 2018\, he began co-planning the “Original Music Tour Project” with German pianist Julian Moreen. In 2019\, he was invited to perform at the Taichung Jazz Festival in Taiwan with the Julian Moreen Quartet. He has performed internationally in Taiwan\, Malaysia\, Singapore\, Germany.爵士低音提琴演奏家、作曲家。學習歷程多元、曾就讀國立台南藝術大學中國音樂學系及國立東華大學音樂系-爵士組、主修低音提琴。曾獲兩廳院最佳Bass手，並於2015年於兩廳院爵士音樂營-研習營開始擔任教師一職，致力於爵士音樂推廣教育以及原創音樂發表。2106年榮獲台北爵士樂壇新秀比賽第一名。同年參與『揮灑烈愛』多媒體跨界音樂劇，於國家音樂廳演出。2018年開始與德裔鋼琴家Julian Moreen共同策劃『原創音樂巡迴演出計畫』並擔 任台灣及亞洲地區總策劃，並以Julian Moreen為首組成Julian MoreenQuartet。2019年隨Julian Moreen Quartet受邀於台灣台中爵士音樂節演出、並策劃亞洲地區交流與展演。同年參與『瘋戲樂』年度大戲《台灣有個好萊塢》擔任樂手一職。演出足跡遍及台灣、馬來西亞、新加坡、德國…等等不同國家。擅長與多元類型團體合作，參與原創發表、電影配樂錄製、專輯錄製、舞蹈、音樂劇、現代劇場…等誇界藝術發表。effery Lin (Drums)Jeffery Lin began studying jazz drums in high school and was immersed in the world of rock and metal music during his college years. Falling in love with jazz after in graduate school\, he began to further his studies and perform around Taipei. He joined the army band in 2009\, and after being discharged in 2010\, he began to appear in major Jazz Live Houses in Taipei such as Blue Note\, Yuppy Bookstore\, Sappho Live\, Xiangxiang along with other venues. He has been deeply influenced by the styles of masters such as Philly Joe Jones\, Elvin Jones and Roy Haynes\, and has studied with Quincy Davis and Masahiko Osaka. In 2016\, he was awarded third place in the Taichung Jazz Festival Rookie Competition with the “Li Fangxu Trio”. At times\, the vibe can be reminiscent of the uncluttered ‘sound of the trio’ – but as a quartet this is bolstered by the presence of both piano and guitar in the mix\, with the bow of the contra bass adding a different timbre from time to time.\nAll are seasoned musicians\, drawing influences from a wide variety of artists – thus it would be unwise to list any predominant influences in their performance material. Teddy’s mom was a classical pianist and church organist who had perfect pitch and could play any instrument. His father was a mathematics professor who enjoyed singing\, playing piano and ukulele with The Great American Songbook. His family was always playing music together\, which inspired Teddy to write his first song at 4 years old. At around the same time\, he began playing baritone ukulele as well as playing any instrument his parents had lying around the house\,…violin\, flute\, piano\, organ and guitar.\nDuring his teen years\, Teddy studied with world renown music teacher Richard Rabatin at the Stony Brook School of Music. After reading the book “For Guitar Players Only” by Tommy Tedesco\, at 13\, he announced to his parents that he was going to be a professional studio guitar player. Teddy played in school bands\, orchestras\, choirs and as well as taking classical guitar private lessons.\nAfter Teddy attended University of Miami’s Frost School of Music\, he was hired by Grammy Nominated jazz vocal group Rare Silk to be a part of their touring band. They toured for a year in 1986\, during which time Teddy also spent some time in New York City to study with guitar legends Steve Khan\, Dean Brown and Mick Goodrick. After the tour was over\, Teddy returned to Miami to be a part of the legendary Concert Jazz Band directed by Whit Sidener at the Frost School of Music.\nIn 1988 Teddy moved to New York City to settle into being a professional musician. He spent a lot of time in the trenches\, toughing it out with the rest of the NY musicians doing whatever he could to get by. In 1989\, he interned at a studio on 45th St. in Manhattan where he learned how to cut tape\, run midi from a computer in sync with tape and work a mixing console.\nTeddy always had a passion for making his own music. When he wasn’t working at studios or doing gigs\, he was working on developing a voice on the guitar and as a writer. He put out his first record\, NOME SANE? in 1994. His band did a European tour and recorded another record called “The Lost” in Montreal at Studio Piccolo. Teddy started writing songs with developing artists and helped catapult two record deals on Warner Brothers in the late 90’s. This earned him a publishing deal with EMI Music Publishing. After successes with songwriting\, Teddy decided to try his hand at writing songs for a rock band he would then front. He called it “Teddy But” and put out two records.\nIn 2008 Teddy was creating a funk band with two guitar players\, but couldn’t find another guitar player who was happy playing only rhythm guitar. Around this time\, the first multi-track looping pedal came out and Teddy spent a couple of years figuring out how to loop with a live trio. This created\, LOOPestra which played over 300 gigs at a Monday at midnight residence at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC between 2011 and 2018. LOOPesta live performances became a NYC institution and community building experience.\nIn fall 2019\, Teddy decided to resurrect ‘NOME SANE?’ with the original drummer\, Matt Miller and amazing bassist\, Bob Stander. DESCRIPTION:▪︎Door Open 入場: 8:00pm(Serving food & Drink /供餐飲)▪︎Music Starts 表演：▪︎ 9:00pm~11:00pm (上下兩場)●《 巴西音樂計畫 Projeto Música Brasileir 》▪︎ Music Charge 音樂門票：$500.(上下兩場)▪︎(每場低消一杯飲料)(Minimum of one drink purchase is required per set)\n▪︎11:30pm~1:30am●《 Andy Ferris and Friends 》\nMusic Charge 音樂門票:$300.(低消一杯飲料/ Minimum of one drink purchase)\n☆來Jam 的樂手11pm後免費入場，低消1杯飲料.Musicians playing at the jam sessions free entrance after 11pm + Minimum one drink purchase——–‐—————————————–● 9:00pm ~11:00pm巴西音樂計畫Projeto Música Brasileira\n巴西有著因歐洲殖民史演變出的咻樂(Choro)、深受非洲文化影響而成的音樂風格有森巴(Samba)與擺耀(Baião)、大家熟知的波莎諾瓦(Bossa Nova)，另外更有1964年以後的巴西流行音樂浪潮(MPB)。這些音樂律動彷如千面女郎般變化多端，總是帶給聽者溫暖又愉悅的聆聽感受。\n閒晃在里約熱內盧的街頭，你可以聽見餐館、計程車內、沙灘上、某戶敞開的門窗裡，流瀉出他們私心喜愛的音樂清單，更有許多店家是設有樂團現場演奏。音樂在公共空間的需求之高，也許是巴西音樂之所以聽起來這麼「天然純」的原因吧！\n「巴西樂選」將以長笛、人聲、吉他與打擊樂器，將為觀眾「樂選」出巴西音樂千變萬化的風景。而為確保能與觀眾有良好的互動，歡迎大家準備好嗓音與雙手，和我們擁抱巴西音樂！Abraços!\n\n演出音樂家長笛、人聲：張瑛蘭、羅妍婷吉他：林華勁打擊：史孟航\n長笛、人聲：羅妍婷來自高雄的爵士創作歌手、編曲家及製作人。畢業於阿姆斯特丹音樂院，喜愛說故事的任何形式。發行專輯《葉片之上》、《蒼鷺十三號》、《Off-Score》、《Land forms》等作品，多次獲金音創作獎最佳爵士專輯及全球音樂獎金獎。演奏足跡遍及歐洲、日本、澳洲等世界各地。\n長笛、人聲：張瑛蘭專研爵士樂、印度音樂及巴西音樂的長笛手。策劃演出「巴西音樂計畫」，把森巴音樂中最具互動性的「Samba- pagode」風格帶給觀眾，並持續探索不同的巴西音樂樣貌。也以 「爵士五重奏」、「印度融合樂團 Bulbul sings」形式發表自己的創作與改編作品，並參與「台北爵士人聲樂團」演出。\n吉他：林華勁演奏及作曲風格深受紐約現代爵士樂的影響，同時熱愛世界音樂，演出足跡遍及台灣各大爵士音樂節，於2019年赴紐約錄製與發行個人首張全創作專輯《爵症》。對爵士樂教學及推廣也懷抱熱情，曾擔任國立東華大學爵士音樂營、兩廳院爵士工作坊的師資。\n打擊：史孟航畢業於美國加州藝術學院(CalArts)世界擊樂研究所、國立台北藝術大學管絃擊樂所。 奠基於專業古典音樂背景，深耕世界音樂領域已十餘年，迄今專業橫跨南北印度、西非迦納、波斯、巴爾幹、阿拉伯、巴西、拉丁、峇里島甘美朗音樂等等。\n\n● 11:30pm~LateLate Night Jam Hosted by Andy Ferris and Friends
