In 2011\, he joined the National Chengchi University Jazz Club\, officially entering the world of jazz. In 2017\, he furthered his studies at Berklee College of Music in the United States.\nOver the past 15 years\, through study\, performance\, and composition\, Wei-Hsin Li has continued to search for his own voice within the jazz tradition while incorporating contemporary musical vocabulary\, bringing new perspectives to familiar jazz elements.\nIn the summer of 2026\, he selected nine of his favorite original compositions for his debut original saxophone instrumental album\, Starting Point.\nThe album is scheduled for official physical and digital release in late September.\nBefore its official release\, join us on September 4 for an exclusive first listen to the music of Starting Point.\nThis is more than just a live performance — it’s a special pre-release listening session. Please sign your name on the registration form and check the box for your instrument. (If your instrument is not listed\, write it under “Others” at the end of the form.)\n2. Each participant will have time to perform two songs. After two songs\, there will be a rotation of players.\n3. You can discuss the songs you want to play\, including their style and rhythm\, with the other musicians on stage (including the key). If some musicians are unfamiliar with the song\, you can switch to another one until a song that most players know is chosen.\n4. If your instrument requires a microphone for amplification\, please inform the staff before going on stage.\n5. If there are more than five musicians playing the same instrument (starting from the 6th person)\, each musician will only perform one song before rotating. This helps ensure that everyone gets a chance to play. If a new round of performances begins\, the one-song-per-person rule will still apply\, regardless of whether previous musicians have left.\n6. If you wish to perform a jazz-specific section called **”Trading”**\, it is recommended to start with the lead player (the one performing the melody) trading with the drummer. When signing up\, each musician must also write down the songs they wish to perform (including the key) in the designated section of the form.
