At age 5, he started to take classical piano lessons (and majored in piano at Toho Gakuen College of Drama and Music as adult student from 2005 – graduated in March 2007).

Since moving back to Japan, he has been active performing at jazz/live music clubs, while engaging in diverse cross-genre works with both professional and non-professional musicians, by supporting different singers, composing, arranging, recording, and teaching.

In May 2007 he joined “Koenji Hyakkei”, a progressive band led by Tatsuya Yoshida, an underground music guru, on their tour in the US and Canada. Koenji Hyakkei has done some shows in Madrid/Spain, Lyon/France, Bern/Switzerland, and played at a festival in Wurzburg/Germany, too, gaining great response. The band has won raves in Japan as well.
